gtx 670 max temp

hi guys
i just installed the new gtx 670(evga). my card reaches 82C when playing crysis warhead at max settings(everything max AA 16xQ) except vsync. is it ok for it to touch the 80s???

Post your system specs.

How is the airflow inside your cabinet ? Idle temps ?

my specs:
i5 - 760 stock at 2.8ghz
evga gtx 670 2gb ftw
huntkey 650w titan psu (18A on 12v rail)
4gb ddr3 ram
and my current cabby is somewhat small... ordered CM HAF912.. will install in it after some time..
the card is idling at 45C at 47% fan speed... is it ok?

idling at 45C in the winters is kinda warm.. see if you can do some good airflow inside your cabby..

but no idea about nvidia cards.

The 670 is a heavy card and OP's cabinet is small. That idle temp is ok.

Those temps should drop once you get your new cabinet.

Balance the airflow (with a few extra fans if necessary).

and that psu has 4x12v rails?? how do you balance the loads??

82 in winter? Even my 580 doesn't reach that, even in summer.

82c? Time to give the cabinet and your GPU in particular a proper dust cleanup

i changed the fan curve in evga precision and now at full load it doesnt go beyong 68C now idling at 39C
