GTA IV Help!

Hey People. . Just Installed GTA IV And I Have One Tiny Little Problem..
It Runs Fine Except That I Have one tiny little niggle with it..
the game is very playable as i get FPS's of around 40. but the problem is that it keeps getting these intermittant lags..It doesnt run slow or anything. I just keep getting these lags as if it gets stuck for a few seconds and then resumes. Its very annoying as it disturbs the flow of the game.and i jus noticed another thing. the lag only appears when i press w(to accelerate when in car). whenever i press w it lags and runs fine until i press w again. . I run win 7 ultimate 64 bit and i even tried running it in compatibility mode but to no avail..Even if i lower the settings its the same so i suspect something else is wrong as i get around 40 FPS at MAAX settings. . and my sys specs are as follows
AMD Athlon II 620
Gigabyte MA785GM US2H
4GB Ram
XFX 4870 1Gb

So guys Please Help me

this is the serious problem which comes when the developers go for a PC port for console games. There is no probs with your config seriously, but GTA4 is the only game which is CPU oriented. You'll need a quad to solve this problem more or less. There is an update patch by Rockstar few months ago dunno whether it works or not. Its just a crap port thats it.

I have one little querry:-what is the use of revoking license when you uninstall the game?

Its not serious problem . its happen because some time game takes few sec to load . it's happen in console also as i have played gta4 in console and pc. But try to update it you may get some problem solved .
