graphics card

hello everyone,
i have a 945G intel chip set motherboard,with 82945G onboard media accelerator graphics controller,i like know if i do buy PALIT 8400GS graphics card is it better then my onboard graphics(i do not play games,just video playback) do it any way better in video play back?
i like to hear your valuable advice.

Definitely, the 8400GS will help greatly in improving video playback. If you do decide to game though, then you should buy a higher 8600GT which is just around 1.5K- 2K costlier.

A dedicated gfx card was always good than onboard gfx... So, u have to get a right gfx card u want.. If u want only movies then 8400GS will suffice... And a lil bit og gaming a 8600GT was a bare minimum.... Think what u need...

Listen, 8400GS @ 2.1k, 8500GT @ 2.4k, 9400GT @ 2.7k, 8600GT @ 3k

Now you decide according to budget.

Please note performance is in ascending order.

It will be a lot of improvement over the IGP. I suggest you go with a 8600GT for 3k even if ur not a gamer..... its a really good card. But, if u cant buy it then the 8400GS will suffice for movie playback.
