Just search any laptop brand with reasonable/budget price & chances are if it is good in all other aspects it will not have gigabit lan.most ppl don't think about the concept of bottleneck in situation like this.imagine you got a 1tb usb 3.0 hdd filled with good stuff from a friend & want to copy it into your desktop with 2tb hdd but no usb 3.0 port.no problem,you say as your new budget laptop has usb 3.0 port so you start copying from laptop to desktop only to realize that 100mbps lan of your laptop is 60% slower than even usb 2.0 port.even the basic pc mobo comes with gigabit lan nowadays but not many 30k laptops,isn't this confounding.
