General Purpose Laptop Under 70k

1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)

70-75k Max

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen
Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
I need a numpad and prefer good spacing between keys, so probably a 15inch+ would make sense.

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?

i.working on multiple excel tabs (working on huge excel data, running macros etc), multiple chrome tabs
ii. Multimedia Consumption like Netflix (other OTT's)
iii. Running Virtual Machine (VMWare)

4) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?

i. Things which matter for me are, a good keypad preferably backlit (No RGB required, just normal backlit is also fine)- This is important, cause I work a lot during the night time.

ii. Good and big trackpad would definitely be a plus point.

iii. Build Quality (very important) I will be traveling a lot with the laptop, so build quality is very important.

iv. Battery Life - I don't want a dedicated GPU since i dont plan on using the laptop for gaming so I'm hoping to atleast get 5-7 hours of Juice.

v. A good display (will have an average screentime of 10-12 hours daily, so a good display with good viewing angles, anti-reflective would definitely be a plus point, I see that Asus had brought in some Oled panel monitors in the market as well, not sure how good they are)

vi. Would prefer an Intel 12th Gen 12500h / Ryzen 5800H or higher (From the comparison which i saw, Intel 12500h beats everything from 5800H and below so intel preferred)

vii. Minimum 512 SSD and 16GB ram.

5) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

a. Like: Lenovo, Dell, Asus

b. Dislike: HP, MSI, Acer

6) Anything else you would like to say?

Screen resolution -1080P preferred, anything above that in my budget is bonus for me. (Again Asus's Vivo book has 2k resolution with an OLED panel)
Battery back up - extended (5-7hrs) )
Purchase place - Amazon/ Flipkart (Planning to buy it during the sale period, also have heard a lot of negative experiences from people who bought laptops/electronics from Flipkart, if anyone wants to share theirs please feel free to do the same)

I will any day pick amazon over FK eyes closed if price is close enough for 2 products. FK does shady practices & has bad Customer Support based on what I heard. But one of their shady tactics is exclusivity deals, so you are forced to buy certain products from them.

Maybe you can justify its price tag, lacks numpad though, else this is a much better deal, just add a 2nd RAM stick:
ASUS VivoBook K15 OLED (2022) Ryzen 5 Hexa Core AMD R5-5500U - (8 GB/1 TB HDD/256 GB SSD/Windows 11 Home) KM513UA-L502WS Thin and Light Laptop Rs.78990 Price in India - Buy ASUS VivoBook K15 OLED (2022) Ryzen 5 Hexa Core AMD R5-5500U - (8 GB/1 TB HDD/256 GB SSD/Windows 11 Home) KM513UA-L502WS Thin and Light Laptop Indie Black Online - ASUS : Flipkart.com

With OLEDs, if you use screensaver & keep taskbar to autohide, you should be fine IMO. OLED tech has matured a lot, still better to take some precautions against burn-ins than be sorry later. Don't expect more than 4-5hrs of battery life as OLEDs consume more power. Intel 11th gen CPU models have lower performance compared to even 5500U (even i7 1165G7) & definitely lower battery, no point of Intel.

Also, OTTs will run content at 1080p, not 4K sadly.

Ordered this, and got a good deal on Amazon's Sale, price dropped from 70k to 60k plus got another 1.5k discount on my credit card so effectively got it for 58.5k. Which imo is a very good deal for a 5800H laptop.

Few things.

1.From my understanding Ram is not upgradable or the details are not mentioned on Amazon's webpage cause the 16GB is on Board RAM, although i feel that for my use 16GB is more than enough.
2.No USB Type-C port.
3.Is there anything which i specifically need to look at when I'm opening my package (will be creating a whole unboxing video so if i get a brick instead of laptop that's covered) Apart from that i know that i need to check for dead pixels. Anyothers checks which I should conduct?

Asus has come with a newer version of this line of Vivobook but it seems it's not available just yet in India. (It has Type-C port and swap able RAM)

Can't wait to take advantage of the OLED screen.

Thanks for your suggestion.
