GeForce 8800 GT Cards to Come in Two Weeks - Only in limited numbers and without triple SLI

Nvidia is going to soon launch another graphics processing unit for the middle to high end performance market segment and while this new GPU is due to hit the retailers on the 29th of October, in just two weeks it is really improbable that many such cards will be available from the
start.

The GeForce 8800 GT will be aimed at the ''performance while still budget minded'' type of customer that wants a pretty powerful graphics solution while not being inclined to spend a lot for it as would be the case with a GeForce 8800 Ultra or Radeon HD 2900 XT equipped graphics card.

The upcoming Nvidia graphics processing unit will, according to the news site fudzilla, cost about the same as the incoming Advanced Micro Devices designed and built Radeon HD 2950 XT GPU that is due to hit the market sometime during the next month, while offering a comparable performance level.

During this time, Nvidia prepares a load of basic design cards that will be delivered to its host of partners for actually integrating the GeForce 8800 GT graphics processing units into usable end product and it is said that a number of such cards will be available from day one, but only in limited numbers.

While a GeForce 8800 GT equipped graphics card will be pretty powerful and capable of handling even the new generation of games, there are a few bad points too as this line of products will offer no support for the upcoming Triple SLI standard that is Nvidia's way of scaling multi cards setups. It looks like the new Triple SLI feature will be reserved for the high end graphics offerings only, while also having a pretty smart mainboard chipset too, like the Nvidia made 780i chip that is said to come out and play with the Intel compatible mainboards in November.

@The_Devil_Himself
its coming out as a replacement for 8800GTS 320MB and not for the 8600 GT
and No info/source for Indian prices.

It might come to India around December but it is expected to be cheaper than 8800GTS 320MB
