Gapless Playback- alternatives to Apple?

Some of us love gapless playback. For live albums, or songs that are fused together or fade in to each other, it's a nice thing to have. Ask Pink Floyd/Porcupine Tree/Queensryche fans and they'll tell you.

Finding an MP3 player that supports it, though, is tough, unless the player happens to be an Apple iDevice. I've been looking up devices that have gapless playback, and the only non-Apple device is by Cowon. There was a program for Nokia N8 (Symbian), which I have, called FolderPlay, but installation attempts have failed due to the certificate error/expired certificate of the program. Now, I hear, Zune has gapless playback.

What's your preferred option for gapless playback? I know most point to Apple, but I'd like other options. Zune seems decent, but it's been discontinued. I've also read about the TrekStor Vibez, but that's been phased out too. Something, to save the hard work of splicing songs that fade into each other.
