Gaming + Work Laptop Suggestions required

Hey all, Posting on behalf of a friend. He requires a laptop for Gaming + Coding work.


1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
Upto INR 1.5Lakh.

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
Both of them below, but the bigger the better.
Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen


3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?

Gaming(AAA titles,FPS games and work like Coding running IDEs, Android studio)

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?

None.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

6) Anything else you would like to say?
A good battery life would be beneficial but not a necessity.

This is 85k & will easily suffice. Ryzen has the best power efficiency, so Intel is out in that regards. 5800H is just 10% inferior to 6800H, so still great. An i7 12700H will outperform both, but the extra 20-25% multi-core performance is usually not needed + easily costs another 20k at least.

RX 6600M performs similar to RTX 3060 but has more VRAM as an advantage.

An i7 12700H + 3070Ti at 150k on a good laptop like Omen or Legion or F15 (2022) would have been an upgrade (like 25-30% better CPU & GPU as well), but sadly you don't get it at 150k.

This gets close but decide if its worth paying the 70% extra money for 25% better CPU & maybe like 15-20% better GPU. Also, you will sacrifice battery life:

What kind of coding ? What kind of developer he is ?

What about battery backup, weight, screen color quality like 100% sRGB ? Will he work on a second monitor as well ?

That Omen has 100% sRGB display as well, so OP is covered in that regard as well. Not sure how long it will be for 85k or even 90k, damn good value.
