Gaming without charging

I have a hp laptop, au 111tx to be specific, with a 940mx 2 gigs ddr3. The thing is the GPU works only if the laptop is plugged in and charging. I am pretty sure it's the power saving technology of 900m series maxwell cards. How do I turn that off to play games on the go. I also read some articles saying that internal batteries don't provide sufficient power for gpus and it could affect the performance of GPU as well as the life of the battery. Soo thoughts on that too please

I know that. I will check how much I can get but a 10 min csgo deathmatch is always fun

From my experience if you play games even on a "gaming laptop" the batteries are ought to go within a year. The best bet for gaming is on desktops.

Not necessary...many gamers in TDF have used the battery for more than a year
Tdf? Exatly depends on usage and make of the model also. But more or less a year is the limit. I read a report I think on scribd that the battery degrades 2x faster if the lappy is used for gaming.
