hi i have very old age system with config

2.4 GHz p4
intel 845G chipset
376 MB ram

i want to upgrade to pcei to play new games at respectable frame rates
so please suggest me a good config ( i would like to drag my proccessor for some more time ) my budget is 10k

u cant upgrade on ur current mobo coz
*AGP cards are outdated and now has very less vfm
*DDR memory is very costly compared to DDR2
*2.4Ghz P4 is highly bottleneck for todays games even if u get a gud AGP card.

SO i suggest u to upgrade proccy, mobo nd gfx card and DDR2 ram.

The lowest nd fairly gud choice for u is:
Athlon X2 4000+: 2.6k
MSI K9A GM3: 2.7k
1G DDR2 667: 0.9k
8600GT: 4.8k
total: 11k
