1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Games: GTA5(when released), FIFA-series, Battlefield and more.
And regular C++ programming, net surfing etc.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 50k strictly.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 7.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1TB Preferred, if possible in budget.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Want atleast 22" monitor.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: End of this month.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Self.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: New Delhi. Will buy online if CoD is avaiable.

I thought I had posted a reply last night. Looks like it's deleted or was just MTNL acting stupid. Anyway, here I post again.

Can you please provide a link for HD7870? On FlipKart it's 20k. I wonder if there can be 4k difference!
And what are major differences between the ASUS and Gigabyte motherboards you suggested, considering the 2k price difference. Which among these is more reliable and has better A.S.S.? :)

I also have a Elite 310 lying around with me and might just use it for this PC, it's not final though. If I use that, where should the remaining 2k be put to use? Or just save it? :p

PS: Since many people are asking this - My PC is working perfectly and I have no plans to upgrade. This is for my cousin. :)

@ 20K GTX 760 is much much better
I doubt whether Antec VP450P can handle 7870
Better get Seasonic S12ii 520

Most members quote prices from mdcomputers.in or local prices. Visit several local shops before buying anything.

Oh, ok.
Both 660 and 7870 are 17k on mdcomputers.in

Thanks.

Not sure about the gigabyte mobo, but Asus one is quite good.

if you have saved 2k , then better get 7870 XT at 18k or may be lower along with seasonic s12ii 520 although antec vp450p can handle 7870 without any problem. Its power consumption is very little higher than 650ti boost and performs much better.
