5) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook? = gaming, movies, music.

6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both? = both

7) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games? = yes, games like mass effect 3, the witcher 2, assassins creed revealations, etc.

8) How many hours of battery life do you need? = 2-3 hrs

9) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK? = buying online is OK.

10) What OS do you prefer? Windows 7

11) What screen resolution(s) would you prefer? = FHD 1920x1080

I am from Nagpur, but can go to Hyderabad/Mumbai to buy it.

how much difference does GT 540M make as compared to GT 555M while gaming, also is there any laptop available with GT 560M in this range??

There is quite a lot difference in performance of GT555M and GT540M.GT555M is much better than GT540M.
Hmmm let me check if there is any laptop with GT560M as I don't have any idea.Will get back to you in some time regarding this

I am thinking of buying ASUS G53SX-RH71 from US(xoticpc.com) and shipping it through Shopabroadonline.com, they are giving estimate of 80k....which seems good as compared to price in India (>110K).....what do you guys think?

Note: I don't have any friend or relative in US who can carry it with them.

If u r assured of the shipping firm then go for it.I too got my G73SW 2 months back frm the US,but it was brought here by an uncle.The Gseries r the best bang for the buck if bought abroad,in India a total overkill!!

I'm looking for a similar laptop

Qosmio X770 or HP ENVY 15-3017tx is what i've got till nw.
Both at 70k INR range.Have DDR5 RAM.
Qosmio has a 1.5 GB nvidia 560M.

You'll have to customize Toshiba on their site to get the config. Check my thread to get the config i managed to get.
