Absolutely he should have got i7 version.
I got the core i7 version. Will post pictures asap.
Played LOL on ultra settings and got a constant 60fps. Also played Watchdogs at medium to high settings and got really good frames with that too.
Only problem I have faced soo far is with the heating and the touchpad which is really bad.

Running LoL at ultra is not a big deal. Try Crysis 3.
