Gaming laptop at around 45k

INR 45k, plus-minus 2k

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
15" - 16" screen, no constraints on weight.

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
Moderate to high gaming(watchdogs, far cry 3, etc), engineering softwares like solid works ,etc and an occasional photo and video editing.

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eyeing for ?
I am looking for an 840m graphics card and an i5 (4210), any better suggestions are welcome.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

I would have gone straight for the dell one because of the touchscreen and backlit keyboard, but my friends with latest dell laptops have been experiencing lags not only during gaming but even during light usage like playing videos, etc... So if anybody has experienced such problems in the dell laptop mentioned above, please do tell me.
Otherwise, no questions on dell service but I have a few concerns about lenovo service in Chandigarh, India.

6) Anything else you would like to say?
I have no problems if windows operating system is not supplied with the laptop, I do most of my work on Linux so I can manage.

Go to a showroom near you and see bot Z50 and Hp model yourself. And don't expect to game on high settings.

Sorry guys, I think the z50 has been dethroned. The hp Pavilion p210tx seems almost similar. I haven't seen it personally but recommend the Op to check out this model as it has the same specs with better or worse screen. (1080p display /8 GB ram /1 tb HD /2 GB 830m)

Not all games are playable on 830M even with lowest settings like Watch Dogs, Thief, CoH2 while you can play them on 840M with 30-35 fps easily on lowest settings.

Yeah you are right. That might be some buggy drivers. Woah now I will stop recommending people to go for laptops with 830m

830m was never meant to be recommended for gaming when 840m can barely manage it at mid settings.

That is why i didn't bought hp Pavilion p210tx even if shopkeeper was telling me it is latest and why are you interested in old model and all BS.I wonder why HP increased resolution while downgrading GPU.

Who knows?
OEM's should be giving 830M for under 40k, 840M as a minimum for 40-50k, 850M for 50-60k, 860M for 60-70k and 870M for 70-80k laptops and replace them with respective 900M series in the refreshed models without increasing the damn price.

But greedy nature keeps them from doing do.
