Games for kids?

What games will you recommend for 7 year old kids that could improve thinking, coordination etc.?
Indoor: Chess, Tic-Tac-Toe, Minesweeper, Any board game which requires thinking (so many available),Carrom board
Outdoor : Any game with friends which will make him Happy & Fresh minded

I should have been more clear. I wanted the PC games.

While analog games are good, there are times when short sessions of PC/mobile games are needed. I want them to be useful as far as possible.

Very interested in space.

Classic old NES games then (like Mario and Contra)

Lost in speed
Anything that supports motor skills.
But in case of PC games, start with DOS-based and go to simple modern PC games.

Have the kid appreciate the old games.
IMO, those old 80-90's games are harder to beat, and require hand-eye co-ordination.

There is an ancient game called Croc 2 and Croc, remember having a lot of fun at around that age - was slightly older though maybe 10-12
