Freeware for bulk watermarking photographs

looking for some Freeware for bulk watermarking photographs.
the idea is to put a diagonal (preferably though not the only criteria) text watermark on many images which resizes according to the image size.
looking for something simple as the person who is going to use is not a tech-savvy person.

Edit: tried jaco watermark. it works for horizontal watermarks.
