Right off the assembly line
Hi friends

I am planning to buy a laptop with the following configuration

15.6 inch screen
320 GB hdd 5400RPM
core i3 processor
3 gm ddr3 1333ghz RAM

i went to outlet in pune they are offering me the same
configuration and 4 gb RAM to replace the GB thing .

first the price is 31100rs (BAG+MOUSE+CLEANING kit included + 4 GB RAM without OS).

Some questions i have
:-(:-(

  • IS the price offered is appropriate.

Since dell don't have the configuration that i am taking will it provide the support that it offer.

I am getting a bill with a tin number on it.

will the current configuration be able to support 4gb or will it hinder the performance or can create any type of problems.

1. Yes, the price looks good.
2. don't worry about support. Adding another gig of RAM (by Dell) won't void warranty.
3. 4gb will be utilized only when you use a 64-bit OS. For casual use, it is more than enough.

the thing is that RAM slot is in mother board and for increasing the RAM they have to open the machine. ???
Whoops once opened now warranty ,no support :x:-(

I am not sure if the warranty is there even if the dealer opens it. When i talked to dell they said that no one except dell certified engineers are authorized to open the machine otherwise the warranty will be void
