i have windowxp-sp2 with zone alarm firewall.i use edonkey as p2p.i have open the tcp and udp ports as the edonkey manual says in sp2 inbuilt firewall.when i use edonkey ,i used to shut down the zonealarm,but still it says ......server is unreachable.i tried with many settings and different servers .some says it is unreachable and some says you have a lowid.please review your setting that i doesn't understand.please help someone and also tell me that why a file does not start to download inspite of having 50-60 sources.

Disable the windoes firewall too.

Or I found a tutorial somwhere on this forum to make p2p work behind a firewall.

hey no prob with sp2 firewall i use ut myself with e donkey
maybe ur isp blocks the ports for e donkey\shareaza some isp`s do dat
wat connection do u have

as far as the second question even if u have 60 sources sometimes ur enqued for ur turn so u`ll have to wait
i.e many other people are in line for download
u`ll see something like Q 120 means dat there are 120 people ahead of u

also try shareaza instead of e donkey as it lets u browse e donkey as well as two other networks
