Whenever my pc turns off with ff running(power cut) on the next reboot when i select either of "restore session" or "new session" it seems that ff looses it's cache memory and the pages take time to load than usual.

plz help me to get a solution.coz i have a airtel gprs(not edge) conn.

This is a bug or limitation or as Mozilla says a feature in Firefox :D

Sorry, if firefox crashes it deletes the cache. nothing can be done

The same happens with me too. YOU can just restart firefox or use %windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks to recover excessive physical memory that it uses after reboot

If you love firefox llke me, you'll have to live with it.
Else, get opera. It is the best when it comes to cache management and browsing speed.
If RAM is an issue, IE7 may be better since it uses the explorer kernel.
Since you are on airtel gprs, i would strongly recommend opera.
