Enabling Wi-Fi bridged mode

Hello i have a bsnl utstarcomm wa3002g4 modem ,i would like to know if its possible to activate wifi in bridged mode. In PPOE mode its pretty straight forward and after enabling wifi in router settings all my devices are able to connect ,however,in bridge mode mode although the devices detect the acess point - they're stuck at 'obtaining ip address'.Another peculiar thing i noticed is that in bridge mode even after i dial , there is no internet led glowing but i can browse without any problem .however , in ppoe the service gets connected only after internet led glows . Am pretty sure there is something wrong in what am doing ,would be grateful if anyone can shed some light on these. thanks

in many bsnl modems internet light will not glow in bridge mode so leave it at that.As for wifi in bridge mode, remember that only 1 device can dial connection successfully to get net access at a time & that is why this mode is usually not used for wifi modems/routers.

Thank you for the reply sir. I know ppoe is hassle free for wifi modems and but there must be a way to get it done with bridge also right? If so kindly shed some light on it, I've been googling all day but nothing helpful on this regard.
