DVI-D DL in Monitor and DVI DL in Graphic card are different! Please help. I have Samsung 2233SW and XFX Radeon HD6670 ZWF4. The Graphic card has 4 holes but my monitor has only one long dash and not four holes! But both are DVI-D DL. Please help. Will an ordinary DVI-D male cable work?

there are different types of DVI.your monitor has DVI-D while your graphics card has DVI-I.DVI-I is required if you want to connect an analogue/monitor with VGA port only using a DVI-VGA adapter cable which only works with DVI-I & not with DVI-D.since you don't have such issue a simple DVI cable will work.

No sir I have a standard DVI-D Dual link on my monitor but I have a DVI-D Dual Link which looks exactly like DVI-I Dual Link on my graphic card!

how can two different interfaces look same?just compare them with the image posted above.DVI-D does not have 4 holes surrounding the long dash.anyway what does it matter as i already told you it is important only if you are using a VGA-DVI converter/adapter cable.in your case simply use normal DVI cable.

No it is true. I have never seen this kind before and believe me broda it exists.I'll buy the standard Male DL DVI-D cable and try.
