Well, as mentioned in my previous thread, I'll be upgrading my laptop RAM to 8GB as soon as I buy it...(within a few days).
The dell laptop which I'm going to purchase comes with a 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM and there is 1 empty RAM slot for me to upgrade it to 8GB. Laptop is powered by 3rd Gen Core i5.
I've read online that it is better to have same brand RAM sticks but I'll have to wait 2 more weeks after getting the laptop to get another 4GB stick from them.
My question is, what will happen if I put another 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM of different BRAND..??
I'm no big geek here to talk about latency timing and all, but really how much do they matter..? What problems will I face if I put two sticks of different brands..? On flipkart, the GSkill RAM had a latency of 9-9-9-28.
And what are buffered and unbuffered RAM..? Do I have to take care about this too..?
