IE 6 is not capable of blocking ads as it doesnt have addon-support
Download IE 7 from here
Install IE7pro after downloading it from here
Configure it
And Viola...Goodbye to Ads

PS Firefox is a better browser compared to IE7
I would suggest that instead of IE7
Tons of plugins that can do your job
And if you are feeling alienated by the interface, use the IE7 skin for Firefox
