domain name and hosting problem

hi..
i have register my new domain name as www.nikunj.co.in in rediff buisness solution .

and i m hosting my web site on free hosts like geosities and domaindlx .

can i redirect my new domain to this sites ??

in my control panel ther is facility of domain forwarding but when i enter name of free site as www.geocities.com/nik_for_you , it gives error like please enter proper existing host name .

i contact helpdesk then he tols that please host your site on server which gives static ip.

now what is that ? and is ther any free host ther who gives static ip ??

please help as i cant spend more on paid host like rediff...

u can use free DNS providers for dis purpose..

You can see different providers.. and u can choose frm the list

Check out *www.freeservers.com. There are plenty of other free hosting service providers.

What you can do is that host your site for free and transfer all the files from geocities to the new site. If you have regular visitors to geocities site, put a link and message there to forward the visitors to the new site.
