Now when I start windows, a popup comes up warning that D:\ has too little free space, and sits in the system tray.Please help me get rid of this message every time I start windows.

Reduce the size of ur pagefile.There's no point in making the size of the pagefile more than 1.5 times the RAM size anyway.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]

"NoLowDiskSpaceChecks"=dword:00000001

paste this in a notepad then save the file as name
"anyname.reg"
then add the registry entry by double clicking the file
then reboot
that' it
u r done..........
the low disk space warning will never pops up on ur sys...........

what the heck, i have a page file in a separate drive and that also 1.5 GB...

you could just hide the icon from the customize hidden icons in the system tray.

it solved my problem
