directX 9.0c installation problem

I have 'WinXP Pro SP2'.Whnever i try to install DirectX 9.0c , it says that it's been installed.After re-start i again shows 9.0b not 9.0c Please tell me why is it so...how do i install it in my PC...THANKS FOR UR SUPPORT!!!

the more the resolution the better will be image quality.ever try a game on 2048 x 1600 res.

@poster: Search softpedia.com for a software called "DirectX Happy Uninstall." You can use that to install directx 9.0c. I had this problem too, and this thing fixed it.
What's this doing in hardware troubleshooting?

r u sure, u got XP SP2 & not "Windows XP SP2 v2096" check system properties

this is a known problem with pirated XP CDs slipstreamed with XP SP2 beta 2

u need a proper CD of XP +SP2 final slipstreamed
