buying it for my lil brother for gaming(should atleast be able to run these games in medium to high settings assassins creed 3, bf3, mw:bo2, max payne 3 etc.) and running softwares(autocad,coraldraw etc.)

5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?

Dude you need to increase your budget because mid class amd cards do not run ac3 well enough. You need to increase your budget and get lenovo z500.
