I have normal cable TV connection from asianet.I have split that in order to use in my PC.So i use an analogue TV tuner card pixelview play TV pro 3.But here sports channels are changing week by week. They have limited slots for it and they put channels that is most watched. So priority goes to cricket and Setmax,Neo cricket etc replaces ESPN,star sports etc..I used to call the cable guys a lot.Now they are saying that if i purchase their digital receiver i can get 160+ channels in digital quality. That means there is already digital signals in the cable but i cant watch it due to analogue receiver.

I googled about digital TV tuners. If i purchase one, can i able to get that digital channels from my cable operator? At the same time I need to watch the analogue channels in the other end of the split in TV.TV is in hall and PC is in my room. Now watching analogue channels in both.

If its possible, tell me about the price range and suggest me some models.

Hi,
I think what your operator meant was that you have to buy a set top box from them that recieves digital channels. Set top boxes convert the digital channels to audio video outputs that can be fed to your tv with composite rca connectors like a gaming console or camcorder. So, rather than buying a digital tv tuner card, i suggest you get a tv tuner card that has composite inputs.
Leadtek winfast DTV1800H (hybrid), Avermedia Super009 (analog), Avermedia Studio809 (analog) - these cards have composite inputs.
