DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 10.8V 47Wh & 10.8V 55Wh? Batteries?

to all of you.

I want to know what is the difference between the batteries of 10.8V 47Wh & 10.8V 55Wh rating? actually in the Laptop the current battery is having a rating of 10.8v 55Wh this has gone bad, and in the Market the available battery is 10.8V 47Wh.Can I use this one in my Laptop? Please advise.

Wh simply states capacity,at same voltage larger Wh battery will take longer time to charge but will also give longer backup time.

Thank You for this quick reply, Can you please tell me what would be the Capacity of 10.8V 47Wh rating battery? , as the capacity of the Battery is 5000mah on 10.8V 55Wh rating battery.

mah is just another measure of battery capacity.For reference my laptop's battery is 37Wh.

Formula is (mAh)*(V)/1000 = (Wh)

So (mAh*10.8)/1000=47
mAh=4351.85
