Can anyone tell me the difference between the two wireless network cards Dell offers in XPS 15 while customizing : 1) N 1030 and 2) N 6230.
I am buying an XPS 15 and would be using internet almost completely through Wi-Fi at my college. There is a price difference of Rs 500 between these two network cards.Which one should I opt for?

N6230 is a dual band card. Not much helpful in a laptop but a dual band router has lot of advantages. That 5GHz band gives more bandwitch to connect to 802.11n devices while older b/g devices connect to 2.4GHz band. If you have a router that has 5GHz band, then only go for N6230.

the 6230 also supports intel widi(wireless display). Also 6230 is future safe when most routers will support 5GHz band.
