Date resets automatically !!!

The date and time settings on my computer resets automatically to 1st Jan 2001. I have Checked for viruses using Kaspersky AV. Also I have changed the battery of my Mobo. Still the problem persists. What should be done now ?

if u have installed a new battery then please check whether the batterry is well connected to the battery socket in the mother board. tighten it py preesing little hard but to too hard. . if it is well connected then check whether the battery has atleast some power or it is exausted. if u have installed a new battery then reset the cmos settings(just for initialisating the 1st stage)and then enter the bios to chagne the time and date. then restart and macine to check.. if that fails then the connection of the battery socket is having some problems!!!! i dont find any virus problem in it.
