CPU and GPU ideal temperature

What should be the ideal and load temperature of hashwell i5 CPU? I mean the reviews and all are of cold climate, so in Indian climate with ambient of 40 what should be ideal temperature and load temperature?

And similarly what about GPU temperatures? Specifically VRM temps of r9 290?

calculate yourself by reading some reviews where ambient/room temp is mentioned & then subtracting it from idle & under load cpu temp preferably with stock cooler.add this difference to your room temps in summer.as long as it is under 75C it should be fine but not recommended unless you absolutely can not afford cabinet fans or cpu cooler.

I have done that. But that does not give quite the accurate results. There is always an error. My temps are okayish, CPU goes to 65 and GPU touches 80 sometimes in VRMs.

as long as temps remain at least 10-15C below shutdown temp it should be fine.the whole point of a shutdown temp is to avoid damage to components.

I have configured the thermal shutdown @80 in BIOS. And warning of 100 in HW info for GPU
