In recent years Corsair has diversified their PC hardware offerings, starting off as a memory manufacturer to become a juggernaut that manufacturers, cases, coolers, keyboards, mice and even complete systems.

Now it looks like Corsair's plans to enter the monitor market are closer than ever, with the company requesting feedback on how they use their PC's monitors.

Back in 2018. Corsair requested job applications on indeed for the role of Monitor Product Manager. This job listing called for individuals who could define a gaming display roadmap for the company, develop competitive products, define feature sets by analysing market trends, and are willing to travel and has at least five years of experience in marketing for both consumer and gaming products.

In their monitor survey, Corsair asks what their fanbase's prefered monitor panel type is (TN, IPS, VA, OLED etc), the size and number of screens they use and whether or not they utilise VESA monitor mounts, monitor mounted headset stands or other advanced features. Clearly, Corsair wants to know what PC gamers look for in a new monitor.

At this time it is hard to tell how far Corsair's display plans have progressed, but it seems like the company is still a long way from producing its own gaming monitors.

Perhaps this should be in Technology News.
I moved it from there to here. In my opinion, news should be something concrete but this is speculation(different from road-map/concrete future plans like those intel/ryzen slides charting future processor development etc).If & when corsair actually launch their gaming monitor then it can be considered as tech news.

Addendum: Speculation could also be a journalistic activity by analyzing inside scoops or rumors. Even if this is unfounded, we could then discuss whether the article is dubious or has any merit.

Yes but this article seemed a bit too speculative if you know what I mean.e.g.speculation/rumors of Intel introducing a new processor architecture immune from meltdown type vulnerabilities is a tier above speculation of corsair launching gaming monitors because of a survey.Well that's me so not sure how others view such things.

This snippet makes it seem plausible. If not, why would a non-monitor-manufacturing company like Corsair seek employees who have expertise in monitor marketing or request monitor related information from users? Perhaps they are planning it, but whether it will actually materialize can be debated.

Reporting that Corsair has been observed to have vacancies for product managers for monitors or that they are seeking monitor related information is news in itself IMO.

Yes,but the article also says:

If it said something like expecting to happen by 2020 end or by 2021/2022 then it would have been "something concrete". Anyway it also doesn't look out of place in chit-chat section too so just think of it as "ambiguous news".
