connecting 2 harddiks

i want to ctransfer some data from my od disk (ATA) to my new harddisk(sata)
my old hard disk is virus infected that's why i'm not attaching in my new computer
tell me how should i do and what the hardware i should use

plz also define the cable looks like

If you don't want to mess around insisde your comp then buy an external usb HDD case and put ur old HDD in it.

Well quite simple really. Make sure that your anti-virus and anti-virus definitions are up-to-date on your present PC. Connect your ATA disk using an IDE cable. Its a 80-wire flat ribbon cable, ask any dealer they will know what you're talkin about !
Make sure you boot up from your SATA disk. Once you're within your OS, simply run a virus scan on the attached disk.
