Configuring an always on DataOne connection on WA1003A

My friend has a WA1003A ADSl router on his Ubuntu 7.04 installed PC.I can connect to the internet in XP by using the in built dialer.But should be the router configuration to make a always on connection.I've searched Thinkdigit thoroughly but haven't got any clue.

are u using the router's ppp dialer?then ubuntu mostly shud connect.try enabling dhcp for netconnxn via menu system>admin>network
if ur using bridge mode with OS dialer(for eg:dialing from winxp).then u have to follow below guide for configuring pppoe on Ubuntu.remember USB connection is not *supported* in Ubuntu/Linux.u need an onboard lan card(which most have).
