1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:

1. The computer will be used for general purposes @ home.

2. Softwares will be- MS Office, Photoshop, different charting programs like Metastock, Ninjatrader, Amibroker and similars. I will be using a VM also.

3. Casual gaming. Crossed the gaming phase of my life. Older games of 2012-2016 will be
enough.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 50K. May be extended upto 60K.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 10 Pro (64 bit)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 2TB…..will use my existing Seagate HDD Barracuda Compute.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes. My earlier Monitor was 19” (18.5). I will now go for 21”. Full HD.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: HDD (2 TB Barracuda Compute) and PSU (Antec VP550P)

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: within October 2018.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes…but will go for assembler.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Kolkata. Yes.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I have myself configured the following. Need your comments.

1. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2400 APU - 12,500

2. MoBo: ASRock AB350 PRO4 – 7,500

3. RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Series 1X8 GB DDR4 3000 MHz

(Will add one same module later) 6,100

4. HDD: Seagate 2 TB 2 TB Barracuda Compute --------

5. PSU: Antec VP555P --------

6. DVD Write: Asus DRW-24D5MT/LG GH24NSDI 1000

7. GPU: (Not required at Present, will test the APU ;)) --------

8. Monitor: LG 22MP68VQ-P 9500

9. Cabinet: Corsair Carbide SPEC-01/SPEC-04/100R 3000

10. KB+Mouse: Gamdias Ares V2 Essential GKB100 OR
Logitech Gaming Combo G100 2500

11. Speakers: 3000

12. UPS: APC 600VA 230V Back-UPS (BX600C-IN) 2700

Some questions are –

· Should I buy a SSD along with the HDD?

· Are all the parts compatible? Will there be any issue?

· Is there any bottleneck in performance?

· Whether the RAM, Processor and Motherboard will need any tuning?

· Will the MoBo require BIOS update to use the Processor (Ryzen 5 2400) using an older supported processor? If yes, how can I do that? I have no such older processor!!

· Please suggest a good 2.1 speaker system within 2000-3000

· Any other point you would like to advice?

Since you have budget, go ahead and buy SSD - Samsung 860 EVO 250GB
Yes, compatible. No issues other than the possible need of BIOS update requirement for the chosen cpu+mb
NO
If you want to OC, yes.
Yes, possible. If the box says Ryzen 2000 ready, then no need. or If you opt for B450 chipset board, you don't need to update BIOS. If you go for B350, you can either ask seller to update BIOS for you or ask AMD to send update kit (it's free of cost).
Go for B450, price difference isn't much and go for SSD.

1. any particular point for suggesting AMD Ryzen 5 1600 over AMD Ryzen 5 2400 APU ?
2. Swan M10-6,900...it will be way above the budget. Any good speakers within 3000/- ?

Ryzen 1600 is much more powerful than Ryzen 5 2400
Total system is within 60k and those swan speakers are way better than speakers available for 3k one more reason why I suggested it because all good budget speakers are vanished from Indian market

^^True but the thing is does @op need that much processing power. There is no point in buying a 1600 if you can't even push your 2400G to 70-80%+ usage even 2-3 years from now.

Samsung 860 evo 250gb is much better than any 120gb ssd & any budget/non-pro 250gb ssd.

With 12k price tag I would say he should grab one before 1600 goes out of stock and I suggested a cheap SSD because OP will still feel snappy while launching apps and boottime will significantly faster than normal HDD

Now, how can I accommodate Samsung 860 EVO 250GB (5,500/-) and Swan M10 (additional 4000/-) ? Budget exceeding by 10,000/-. What should I do ??
Also, what about ASRock after sale service particularly in Kolkata? If I go for Asus PRIME B350-PLUS the budget will increase by another 2000

Don't get DVD drive. Get ssd instead of speakers. Also, replace the ram in 2nd config from 1st one. Total comes around 61k.

Don't spend much on speakers unless you truly appreciate sound quality.A Rs.1500 creative/F&D 2.1 setup should be enough for casual experience.Drop dvd drive as it is rarely needed nowadays. If you really can't afford samsung 860 evo then you can get the 120gb kingston A400 for 2k,it is slower than 860evo but still much faster than hdd.

If you want to go for Ryzen 1600 rig, buy what fits in your budget.
- Instead of 1050Ti, get 1030
- Don't have to spend more for GSkill Ram, buy Corsair vengeance
- If you don't have enough budget for Swan speakers, either go with your original budget speaker or postpone speaker purchase.

This will bring the bottom number under your budget, including Samsung 860 Evo.
