Right off the assembly line
Motherboard - Asus Z87 Deluxe Dual
CPU - Intel I7 4770K
GPU - MSI GTX 760 Lightning
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8GB X 4 1600
SSD - Samsung Pro 128GB
Cabinet - Coolermaster Cosmos II
PSU - Coolermaster 1050W Hybrid
Problem: My computer restarts after 2-4 secs of shutting down.
I have tried:
Windows:
1. The mobo has inbuilt WIFI, on advanced adapter setting disabling Wakeup option through network.
2. Uninstalling Asus WIFI Go software
3. Uninstalling Asus AI Suite software
4. Uninstalling Intel RST software
. Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery and unchecked the 'automatically restart'
(I think its not a windows or windows software issue as the problem happens after complete shutdown)
BIOS:
1. Updating to latest BIOS
2. Tried all modes under BIOS->APM SETTINGS-> ERP MODE (Enabled,Disabled,S5,S4+S5)
3. Under BIOS->APM SETTINGS-> Disabled Wakeup through network
4. Disabled WIFI in BIOS
I researched online and apparently many people have been facing the same problem with the Asus Z87 motherboard. The only common factor I see that everyone reporting had inbuilt WIFI in the Mobo.
I have ruled out it being a PSU problem since I also tried a Corsair 1000RM.
