Computer hangs if keyboard is connected!!!

I have a amazing problem ...... when I start my computer it hangs automatically at once.....But when I take out the keyboard and start the comp it starts normally and works normally But when keyboard is re connected the computer hangs again...!!!What is the problem? Can u people help? Is it due to the CPU or the Keyboard???? Help me people!!!

At what point it hangs when you start it with keyboard connected
Does it load the OS (I assume you have Windows) and then freezes there

Is your keyboard interace USB or PS2?

My keyboard is a PS2 type and it hangs just before the welcome screen appears
