COMPATIBILITY OF AN OLD PC WITH NVIDIA-GEFORCE 2 ???

Hello Digit!!
I am having a computer which is 2 years old.It has the following configuration:
Pentium III Processor 1.1 GHz, 256 MB SDRAM, 40GB harddisc drive,
Mercury motherboard(815E TFSX), with a 64MB AGP slot & 32-bit PCI slot.

can I install an nvidia Geforce 2 Graphics card with the above configuration?? Please help me!!

Yes you will surely be able to do so if you have an AGP slot, preferably a 4x slot (which is what 815 boards came with I think).

well you can definetly go in for a Geforce 2 series as it be be handeled ny youre motherboard but opt for an 4x series as an 8x wont do you any good.

Are there 8x geforce 2's?

BTW, if you can afford it, you can also opt for a Geforce4 MX4000 or MX440 which will cost you between 2000 - 3000. In this case, make sure you go for an AGP4x card.
