Compac presario bluetooth problem

Hi,
I am unable to start the bluetooth.
This lappy has a dedicated bluetooth button.
It is on.
In the task bar one of the network connections is bluetooth but
it shows that network cable unplugged.
There is a wireless assistant from HP which says bluetooth on.
Now what all I have done already :--
1. delete the bluetooth module in device manager i.e reinstall
Did not work.
2. start all kinds of services RPC, Network etc....whatever was manual
is auotmatic.
Did not work.
Anybody can help ?

Download the bluetooth driver from Compaq website and install it. When bluetooth is active the bluetooth icon in taskbar will turn white and when data is transferring the icon will turn green.
