Combining 5.1 nd 2.1 speakers

Hi,something very interesting has cum up.....i hav a 2.1 speaker setup nd i recently bought a 5.1 speaker set does some one knw if i cn use both to make a 7.2 setup.I hav a asus m2n2v vm board with default sound card.

quite simple to connect. However dont think it to be a 7.2 setup!
Look, connect your 5.1 system speakers in the way they are meant to be connected.
Now, buy one 3.5mm Stereo Jack Splitter and connect it to the front (green) socket. Now, you'll be able to make two separate front channels. (Connect your default 5.1 speaker Front channel into one hole and your 2.1 speaker's stereo pin into another one.)

I did dat bt it doesnt give a 7.2 setup i think.....thnx for ur rply
