Chrome Freezing because of flash

Hi. feels great to come to the forums after a long time!!

Here's my problem.
Whenever i open any page with flash content in it, the chrome tab freezes. In the frozen tab, I can not scroll, type or do anything.

What triggers the problem:
when i try to open youtube, I see black boxes in place of the video links.

The audio runs normal.

Surprisingly, minimizing or switching tabs rectifies this problem and the tab starts running good as ever.

I have three Laptops (2 VAIO and one Vostro). this problem is there on chrome on all three laptops. firefox and IE9 has no issues.

I have tried reinstalling Chrome, Flash, Java, but the problem is still there.


I am clueless on what should i try next.

Ok.. That DID work. Thanks Gearbox.

I had to change a few things though.

In place of the file "gcswf32.dll"(C:\Users\[your-username]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\16.0.912.77\gcswf32.dll),
I disabled "pepflashplayer.dll" (C:\Users\[your-username]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\23.0.1271.97\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll)

So far no symptoms of the problem.
