cheap Netbook required

Ok my dads need a cheap netbook
i did some search and found the hcl netbook mh04 pretty cheap
specs :

"netbooks" of whichever brand are almost of the same config. mostly. there are two three things to consider for the same
1. the battery life - opt for the six cell battery netbook so that u can use it for 5-6 hrs
2. up gradability of RAM - opt for the netbooks in which ram upgrade is possible atleast upto 2gb (tht too easily)
and try to opt for the cheapest possible option so as to serve the purpose

i saw samsung netbook under "deals of the week" last week on ebay .it was gr8 having all the features except bluetooth and OS (it was having ubantu)
it was of 15k i think (with 6 cell battery) and in silver color

dnt be in hurry just research for them and watch out ebay for 2-3 weeks , they generally throw out deals on netbooks every month tht too at gr8 price.

I think they sell one for 17k + freebies (quantity of freebies depends on your negotiation skills).

Also, i saw one samsung advertised in Nehru Place for 14k. 1ghz atom, 160 gb were its specs.

Samsung N128 is the cheapest I have seen.

But check out a Croma store near you. They sell a netbook of their own croma brand which seems quite decent. Its got the standard 1GB/N270/160GB config but comes WITH GENUINE WINDOWS XP HOME. Costs 16k (incl taxes I guess).

Since this is for your dad, don't expect him to run ubuntu comfortably

BTW: i liked HCL mh04 it got good specs and reasonable price
