CDMA MODEM PROBLEM

I AM USING RELIANCE LG LSP340E TO CONNECT TO INTERNET.IT WAS WORKING FINE UNTIL I INSTALLED SERVICE PACK2 ON WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL. NOW WHENEVER THE CONNECTIONS GET DISCOONECTED IT DOESN'T RECONNECT UNTIL THE SYSTEM IS RESTARTED.I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE "THE MODEM IS BUSY OR ANY OTHER PROGRAM IS USING IT". I TRIED REINSTALLING MODEM DRIVERS BUT IT DIDNT HELP. I ALSO TRIED THE SPYWARE SCAN.
MY SYSTEM CONFIG. IS P4 3.0GHZ ON INTEL D915GLVG MOTHERBOARD WITH 512 MB OF RAM.
PLEASE SUGGEST ME SOLUTIONS TO THIS.

i have scanned my system using norton antivirus 2005.

Its a common problem dude!

It happens, whenever the connection got disconnected accidentlly not manually!

If u disconnect manually by clicking on DISCONNECT button, then no problem.

But if it gets disconnected due to request timed out or ne other reason, then u hv to restart the comp to reconnect.

Nothing can be done for this!!!

yes... vishal is right... both Tata & Rilieance have this problem... u have to reboot....
