My budget is 6K max.

i have following configuration
proccy: Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2140 @ 1.60GHz (Socket 775 LGA)
MB: ASUS P5GC-MX
RAM: 1.5 GB DDR2 @333mhz
HDD: 2 TB WD Blue
Display 20" LCD @1366X768


what i need is a decent entry level Graphics card to play games.
i know i have a "world war 1" type of config and i was planning to buy new one but i cannot save that much money till now so i have live with this config foe few more months.

What PSU do you have ? you will need good supported PSU as well
Preferably a VP450p

Those two are the minimum you should aim for, low end nvidia stuff is crap.. avoid at all costs

HD 7770 is exactly the same thing as R7 250X, R7 250X is just a rebadge..
Id recommend you get the R7 250X as it is newer..
(I own a HD 7770 myself)

have u seen the comparison link i provided r7 250x has only high memory bandwidth and everything else is low......

I dont know about the link you posted but everyone knows a R7 250X is a rebadged HD 7770, having the exact same memory, and GPU inside..
Try searching around Tom's hardware you will get your answer..
ANyway, both are available for around 6.5-7k, its recommended you save up and buy
for a 1366x768, it will give ~med setting performance paired with your CPU

dont believe such sites blindly. they do have some errors here and there.
