I have windows XP ro installed on my computer.the machine was runni9ng good.But when i tried to start it last time it gives a error screen and refused to start. I have tried many times but no solve. The error message is as follows........
windows couldnot start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\windows\system32\config\system
you can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using original setup cd rom.Select 'r' at the 1st screen to start repair.
But when i inserted the xp cd the problem doesnot recover..i dont know how to run repair function. windows setup doesnt start automatically even when i set my first boot device as the cd rom. please help.
