Right off the assembly line
my motherboard has an AGP slot with a maximum speed of 4x [i think]

it is a DFI AD77 Pro motherboard

my friend who is planning 2 dismantle his computer has asked me if i want his hw

since i need a graphics card, i asked him for his XFX 6600, but he said it needs an 8x AGP slot

so will this card run smoothly on my computer or will it no run

if it does not run will updating my BIOs help

also how do i know what BIOS to upgrade to

Please help

Thank You

yup.. But it ll be bottlenecked by the agp 4x slot and ll run at 4x

but 8x dat is AGP3.0 has a signalling voltage of 0.8V and 4x, ie, AGP2.0 has got a signalling voltage of 1.5V

won't d xtra voltage make a crispy outta d card:confused::confused:

Wire muncher!
well, this guide says its safe and will work at the fastest speed offered by the card.
