can i re use the HDD,ODD,and cabby of this?

i have an old desktop at home a compaq presario.and i want to know if any of this is re-usable for a new config.this PC has been unused for 5 years.because of mobo/psu problem
what i intend to reuse
Hp vp 17" 1280 x 1024 monitor 4:3 aspect ratio
compaq presario cabby
250GB HDD
16X DVD ROM disk drive

But,i doubt "16X DVD ROM disk drive", coz Optical drives may not last longer.
