I uninstalled NIS yesterday and been using the Avast free version, all right. Just that BSNL is down / inconsistent for past 24 hours, what a coincident

Not a fan of NIS myself. Better be with Avast than NIS.

Comodo Firewall fcks up with Win 8.1.1 update. I had BSOD loop, had to reinstall the OS and then switched to Zonealarm. This is a well known issue.

Well you just have to remove it from safe mode Most AVs have BSOD issues.

I didn't knew at first which software is causing the problem. When I found out, OFC I uninstalled from safe mode but in process of finding out, I had to reinstall OS twice.
