In India it is not against the law so most Chinese manufacturers have enabled this function as it is also completely acceptable in their home country(aka China,the land of surveillance). Also any such phone in which such functionality is enabled by manufacturer,any 3rd party call recording app will work without needing root. Of course in countries where it is against local laws to record call these companies will not enable it(earlier this function was enabled by default so all the responsibility lies with end user but now manufacturer has to take responsibility if it enables a function disabled by default). I thought all recent redmi phones coming with pie have this functionality,can you name a redmi phone which comes with pie & not having this feature.

As per this post, in future Google phone and messages will be preinstalled in miui..
Also it mentioned that author owns Redmi Note 8 which has these two apps.
I don't know if he can record call with that Google Phone on MIUI 11

Call recording function is not available in all countries anyway & in many countries redmi has indeed launched note 8 with google dialer which does not support call recording(& this rom does not support mi dialer either). However as per below thread,the Indian version comes with the usual mi dialer & call recording function.

I had the same problem, I just solved it installing the Indian ROM (V11.0.3.0.PGGINXM).

Rest I can confirm with a friend of mine who also got a redmi note 8 a week ago.

So, should I purchase call recorder SKVALEX app for ₹720.. (will it be wise decision?)
Because MIUI will be available with Google dialer and messaging app in 1 year..
And for Google dialer (Google phone) recording will be available after 1-2 year..
I was using custom rom and will continue using it. As of now it's on pie, which does not provide proper support for call recording even with root except 1 app (i.e. SKVALEX).. (if you know any other app please suggest)
I record 1-2 call on weekly basis. I wanted it to be automated..

So should I wait for 1-2 year for Google to officially support call recording or spend ₹720

It's just that I want my 1st app purchase to be value for money for me.

^^720 is not that much if those recorded calls are important. As for value for money,nothing will ever beat the Nova Prime for Rs.10 & Poweramp app for Rs.10 offers.

okay. great.
I did not purchased app yet.. trying different recording apps as of now.. also using google phone dialer (with manual record option) as you suggested.

Finally purchased app 2 weeks ago. Working great as expected. Miles ahead from competition because of its feature and support from developer from 2012 and still continues to support it. As android 10 support call recording but it can not be automatically recorded by Google phone app. So this app becomes essential, does not matter if you are on custom rom or stock rom, if you are looking for recording app then go for it blindly. Features and support are plus points. Go through apps XDA thread, you will understand all.
Try before buy policy.
For ₹720, it seems overpriced, but it's worth every penny.

Another call recorder for Android 9 & 10
(magisk module "Axet's Call Recorder")

requires root for android 9. for android 10 no root required.

My opinion - App is in early phase, bugs here and there, similar features like SKVALEX, but available for free which is a huge plus point.
